We’re trialling a brand new promotion which gives back to charity - You Buy One We Give One

Next Thursday (27th), we're launching a brand new promotion with Warburtons called You Buy One We Give One. Every time a participating Warburtons product is sold in store or online, another bakery product will be donated to FareShare so they can distribute to local charities including food banks, homeless refuges and children’s clubs. It's the first time that a supermarket and a manufacturer will automatically make a one-for-one food donation on a customer’s behalf, without the need for the customer to purchase additional products to put in a donation trolley. The products will also be reduced from their usual retail price to encourage take up. We expect over 1.2 million units of bakery product will be donated to FareShare over 52 weeks as a result of the promotion.

 

The promotion is part of our Fight Hunger Create Change programme, where we’re donating over £20 million to FareShare and the Trussell Trust to create long-term positive change to poverty in the UK. Fight Hunger Create Change is allowing FareShare to grow their infrastructure so they can collect, store and transport more food. This promotion will increase the amount of food they receive so they can feed more people in need. You can find the promotion in store or online between Thursday 27th June and Wednesday 17th July.
